Orosei is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Nuoro in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 140 km northeast of Cagliari and about 30 km east of Nuoro. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 6,148 and an area of 90.4 km².
The municipality of Orosei contains the frazione (subdivision) Sos Alinos.
Orosei borders the following municipalities: Dorgali, Galtellì, Onifai, Siniscola.
